Deliver something when you’ve promised…
I love my live music & am always on the lookout for fave band tickets, so when I saw an opportunity to get early access tickets for an Elbow pre-tour show I was well up for it!
I signed up via the sponsored ad on the Tuesday, excited to get my early access code Wednesday evening ready for Thursday’s pre-sale.
And then…
I heard nothing…
Not entirely true, I did hear from them Monday just gone, 3 days after pre-sale & 2 days after general sale.
But the horse had pretty much bolted.
I felt a bit hacked off & had no way of getting an answer why the code hadn’t come through, although many others had the same experience.
I did manage to get tickets, so it all worked out in the end, but not without that stomach churning experience of waiting to see if there were any tickets left when you finally got to the front of the queue.
So please, please, please, when you’re offering or promising your prospects or customers something, please make sure you can deliver to meet the expectations you have created in the first place.
